My Vision for Our County
Over 19 years ago my family and I chose to make Cedar Park our home because we wanted an affordable, safe, and fun place to raise our two sons. As they’ve grown up, so has our city – from a small town of around 36,000 to a city expected to surpass 100,000 residents in the next few years.
I’m running for Williamson County Commissioner Precinct 2 to continue my record of innovation and productive collaboration on our Commissioner's Court and ensure we are focusing on solving the challenges we face today. From attracting high-quality jobs and excellent entertainment options, to reducing traffic and improving our infrastructure, parks, and trails, public safety concerns, to addressing water access and conservation, there’s a lot to do to keep our county vibrant and thriving. Together we can make the best decisions for who and where we are now, with a sharp eye on how to prepare for the future.

Meet Heather
Heather Jefts has been a small business owner, community leader, nonprofit volunteer, and member of the Cedar Park City Council for 4 terms. She and her husband Richard moved to Cedar Park in 2005 and raised their two sons through LISD public schools. Heather graduated from UT Austin with a degree in Sustainability and Economics and has put it to good use in public service.
During her tenure on City Council, Heather prioritized infrastructure and sustainable growth, bringing in quality jobs and businesses, fiscal responsibility and creating Cedar Park’s first-ever Homestead Exemption, public safety investments, traffic and mobility solutions, and new parks and trails.

My Priorities
Having quality representation starts with accessible representatives. It’s not always easy to track down representatives when you need them. I’ve held hundreds of office hours since first beginning this journey in 2017, and I will continue to be available either virtually or face-to-face. I respond to letters, emails, and phone calls, and I will continue posting and highlighting agendas, public meetings, and county-wide events. I want to empower everyone to participate in our community decisions.
